dropR is a fast, lightweight and anonymous video hosting service. Drop a file or paste a link, and you instantly get a short URL you can share anywhere.
Common formats such as MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI and MKV all work. For the smoothest playback across phones, tablets and desktops we suggest MP4. The maximum file size is 200MB, with no restriction on resolution or length, as long as your video respects our Terms and Community Guidelines.
As long as a video follows our rules, we keep it online indefinitely. There is no automatic expiry date.
No. You can upload and share without ever signing in.
Guest uploads are remembered only in the browser you used. Logging in saves your library permanently, lets you reach it from any device, and gives you the ability to rename or delete your videos.
We keep things minimal. If you log in, your email is used only to identify your library. We never sell it, and we don't ask for a password — sign-in happens through a one-time magic link.
